The Crowley Museum and Nature Center offers

Brownies, Juniors, and Cadette & Senior Girl Scouts

Explore “Animals” at Crowley Museum and Nature Center! See animals in their natural habitat. Pretend you were an animal. How would it walk? What sounds would it make? Learn how to interact with animals in different situations and earn your “Animals” badge. Try It!

Look Up, Look Down: “Earth and Sky” Explore your surroundings while earning your “Earth and Sky” badge. Did you ever look closely at dirt? Did you ever wonder what causes an eclipse? How does evaporation work? All this and a butterfly hunt!

“Eco Explorer” Become an Eco-Explorer as you identify living and non-living things at the Crowley Museum and Nature Center. Learn about habitats, food chains, endangered species, and what you can do to protect the environment.

“Water Everywhere” Explore the Crowley Creek and learn about water critters and conservation as your earn your “Water Everywhere” badge at the beautiful Crowley Museum and Nature Center. Location: Crowley Museum and Nature Center, 16405 Myakka Road

“Listening to the Past” Learn about life as a pioneer in Florida as you explore the historic homes and museum at the Crowley Museum and Nature Center. Play pioneer games, pump water from a well, write with a quill pen and make your own butter.

“Local Lure”
A unique and exciting adventure at the Crowley Museum and Nature Center! Discover first-hand the history of southwest Florida and the Cracker pioneers who settled the region. Explore the museum, pioneer cabin, Cracker home, sugarcane mill and garden. Walk along the historic Pine Level Trail once used by wagons. Compare life today with pioneer life, play pioneer games, make butter, examine historic documents, photos and maps. It’s Alive!:

“Wildlife” Badge Create your own field journal as you explore the wildlife at Crowley Museum and Nature Center. Learn about animal adaptations, medicinal plants and endangered species. Get close up and see what you can see while earning your “Wildlife” badge.

“Earth Connections”
Become an ecologist as you learn to identify native tree and plants and animals at the beautiful Crowley Museum and Nature Center as you earn your “Earth Connections” badge.

“Outdoor Cook” Start and maintain a fire, plan healthy camp meals, practice using a camp stove, test water and clean up after a fire. What a fun way to earn your “Outdoor Cook” badge.

“Outdoor Fun” Learn and practice techniques to have safe and fun outdoor experiences while visiting the beautiful Crowley Museum and Nature Center. Earn your “Outdoor Fun” badge by making and extinguishing fires, assembling first aid kits, learning to tie various knots and more.

“Your Outdoor Surroundings” Experience various ways to enjoy nature: learn the basics of wildlife photography or bird- watching, take a hike at the beautiful Crowley Museum and Nature Center, play outdoor games and more while earning “Your Outdoor Surroundings” badge.

Price: $15 per girl with four chaperones free.
